Engage: Advent

We are calling attention to 3 opportunities to give during this Advent season.

Neighborhood Christian Center

Adopt-A-Family

Grab an ornament from the tree at the Engage Advent display in the Commons.  The ornaments provide information about a family in need in our area that receives support services through NCC.  There is a wish list of items the family has requested.  You, your family or Small Group can shop for the family and personally deliver the gifts (with support from an NCC staff member) or items can be brought to an NCC site where you can meet the family.  You can also choose to donate funds toward the purchase of items for a particular family.

After you choose a family, contact Michelle Green at 901-679-7820 or email at michelle@ncclife.org. She will lead you in making the arrangements to meet and deliver the gifts or provide funds for your family.  If you will not be at Living Hope before December 16th, contact Michelle and she can connect you with a family.  Find out more about Neighborhood Christian Center at www.ncclife.org.

Genesis of Hope

The Joy Project

Purchase a fence picket snowman or sign at the Engage Advent display in the Commons.  The cost is $15 each and all additional donations are accepted.  All proceeds go toward Genesis of Hope, an organization that cares for orphans in India, many whose parents were killed for following Christ.  For more information on how to sponsor a child or support other GOH projects, go to www.genesisofhope.com.

D&S Community Services

A Special Christmas

Provide Christmas for 140 special needs adults living in group homes around the Memphis area.  Many of these folks are without family support and will not have Christmas.  The items we need are:

*New or gently worn coats or sweaters (all sizes, small to XXL)

*Toiletries, including bar soap (white Dial for women, Irish Spring for men), shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Items can be dropped off at the Engage Advent display in the Commons through December 16th.  If you have any questions or want to make a monetary donation, contact Cathy Hastings at 901-299-8568 or email at hastings.cathy@gmail.com.
