A silent auction to raise money for a minibus for the GFE Children’s Home in Eldoret, Kenya is planned for the evening of Friday, November 30th at the home of David and Tina Baggett.
The auction will include baked goods, tools, nativity sets, haircuts and styles. a Gulf Shores vacation package, miscellaneous gifts from around the world, and much more! Also, your family or small group can put together a gift basket to be auctioned off.
Gift baskets may follow a theme such as Baking, Cosmetics, Chocolate, Clothing and Accessories, Golf, Barbecue, Movies, Gift Certificates, Book Club, Gardening, Eclectic, Pets, Legos, Coffee, etc. Presentation is important, so make sure an auction attendee can see what is in the basket without unpacking it, and if you choose to wrap the basket, please use clear cellophane. Baskets may be brought to Living Hope and placed on the counter behind the Welcome Center. Attach a valuation of the contents to help us fix a minimum bid and (if you choose) the name of your family or Small Group. Please make baskets available by Sunday, November 25th.
The GFE home was started by Living Hope’s Alan and Pam May. Currently there are 90 kids at GFE and the only transportation available for traveling to church, school, etc. is a 12-passenger van that needs a new engine.
