Advent 2017 – Serving our Church Plants

The Advent season is when we expectantly look toward Christmas day to celebrate the coming of our Savior. This year we will kick it off with two opportunities to support our local church plants in Memphis.

Saturday, December 2nd, 8:30am to 12:45pm. Serve with Living Hope:Vollintine Evergreen. A unit has been obtained at nearby Lincoln Apartments to serve that community through Bible Studies, tutoring, job training, and other classes. Come help put the finishing touches on the ministry center by cleaning, painting, and completing other trim work.

Saturday, December 9th, 8:30am to 12:45pm. Serve with The Common in Orange Mound. This brand new church is meeting at Cherokee Elementary and seeks to be a blessing to that school. Come help transform their teacher’s lounge and library.

Lunch will be provided at these projects and will be followed by an informational prayer tour of each church plant’s neighborhood.

If you or some of your Small Group will be participating in either of these days, please email Greg Jackson (gjackson@lhchurch.com) ASAP or by Sunday, November 26 at the latest. You will then receive more info, including address, things to bring, etc.

Open Prayer Time
The elders of LH would like to invite you to a public prayer hour this Tuesday, November 14 from 6-7pm. Whether you have a specific prayer need, or would just like to spend some time in prayer and meditation with the elders, please join us as we gather to pray for Living Hope.

Safety and Security at Living Hope
The leadership at Living Hope believes it is prudent for churches to have a plan in place to prevent and respond to security incidents. Living Hope Church addresses security and safety on a continuing basis and strives always to maintain a safe and secure environment for all church activities.
